Suzy Lishman, President of the Royal College of Pathologists, and Seamus McFerran, Design Manager from Gilbert-Ash, looked around the new building as it begins to take shape. The project has come a long way, as a result of a lot of hard work from within and outside of the organisation. This short video shows what the premises looks like right now.     The Pliosaurus! Exhibition at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery is open from July 2017 - January 2018. The exhibition is partly funded by The Royal College of Pathologist’s Public Engagement Innovation Grant Scheme. Pliosaurus! shows the sheer breadth of pathology, spanning into something Isla Gladstone, the Senior Curator, referred to as paleopathology. Part of the project involved asking Dr Geoffrey Pearson, a veterinary pathologist, to come and have a look at their large pliosaurus skeleton. It transpires that the 150 million year old fossil had many similarities to animals that Jeff sees every day in modern-day veterinary pathology. This short video gives a brief outline of the exhibition, and how it engaged children and members of the public in discovering what pathology is.
